What Success Looks Like
- The widget appears on your Shopify store
- You can open it and start a conversation
- Leads and conversations begin appearing in your ConnectLoop dashboard
Common Issues & Fixes
The widget is not showing
Check the following:
- The code is pasted before the closing
</body>tag - The code is pasted correctly and completely
- You clicked Save after making changes
- You are viewing the live store, not the theme preview
Changes are not appearing
This is usually caused by caching:
- Refresh the page
- Try opening your store in an incognito window
- Clear your Shopify or browser cache
I cannot find theme.liquid
This usually means:
- You may be using a newer Shopify theme structure
- Or you may not have permission to edit theme files
In this case, contact your Shopify administrator or developer.
Important Notes
- You only need to install this once
- This method works for most Shopify themes
- No advanced coding knowledge is required
- Updating your theme may require reinstalling the code if the theme is replaced completely
